Question: An autoimmune disease alters microglial cells in the brain so that they see all of your oligodendrocytes as foreign, and therefore destroy them like they would any other foreign material. How would this affect the structure and function of the neurons in the brain? Hypothesize what this might do to a specific nervous functions outside your brain.
