2. Define restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis. The information generated from RFLP is useful in criminal investigations. Suppose some DNA samples are taken from a crime scene, suspect, and the victim. The samples are amplified by PCR, and then subjected to RFLP analysis. 3. Define genomics and proteomics. Name two techniques that are used in each field of study. Protein is translated from mRNA, which is transcribed from the gene. However, the proteome is much larger than the genome for a given organism. Give two reasons why there are more proteins than type of genes.
