Growth factors and their corresponding receptors are commonly overexpressed and/or dysregulated in many cancers. First discuss the interplay between growth factors, their receptors, signaling cascades and the relationship of these three to cancer. Second pick a cancer, such as hepatocellular cancer, where growth factors and their related signaling cascades play an important role in the etiology and progression of the cancer and discuss two rational targets for cancer therapy. In discussing your therapies make sure you explain how you envision these therapies working, which means you may need to explain certain parts of signaling cascades.
